Fukushima - No Entry

Program type: documentary
Running time: 60' or 44'
Original Title: Fukushima - wstęp wzbroniony

On March 11, 2011, the world held its breath. After the earthquake off the coast of Japan, a huge tsunami wave over ten meters flooded almost the entire eastern part of the island. The destructive force razed almost everything it encountered on its path to the ground. It also damaged the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant and its 3 reactors, causing one of the largest disasters in the 21st century.

The documentary describes those tragic events second by second, investigating why the multi-level protection didn't work. Production will also answer a very important question: Is man fully in control of atomic energy? We will learn the story of people who lost everything in one day and at the same time heroically fought for the lives and health of others. We will also find out what the areas adjacent to the power plant look like today, how the effects of these dramatic events are eliminated and whether it is possible that life will return to normal there soon.
