"The Motive" is a history of a love triangle, appearances and lies, in which the main heroes are involved – Luiza, Czarna and Maks.
When shots are fired in a Gdańsk restaurant, Luiza Porębska and her husband Maks are injured. Suspicion immediately falls on their employee Anna Czarnecka, who tried to flee the country. The arrested "Czarna" pleads not guilty. However, she suggests that her boss is involved in the event. The case is assigned to Commissioner Paweł Szulc, an investigator with extensive experience, but also huge problems in private life. Women blame each other, and Szulc quickly realizes that all three are friends from high school.
So who lies and who had a ... motive? The matter, initially obvious, changes the track every now and then. It is not enough to answer the question of who shot. To solve the puzzle you will also need to look into the past and learn its secrets.
