Letters To Santa 3 Top Polish Box Office
The third part of the Christmas-themed Polish romantic comedy series, Letters to Santa3, had 775,817 admissions since its 10 November 2017 premiere, making it the best opening weekend for 2017 and the second best opening for Poland in 30 years.
The hit attracted 3 000 000 viewers just in Poland!
Letters to Santa 3 has already been released in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Sweden, among others. The film opened in the UK during the last week of November at 253 cinemas, earning £397,738, which helped it land 9th place in the top 10 weekly box-office figures.
The Letters to Santa franchise is a multi-character dramedy set a few weeks before Christmas. The ensemble cast includes some of Poland’s most popular actors, such as Tomasz Karolak, Piotr Adamczyk, Agnieszka Dygant and Borys Szyc, among others.
Letters to Santa was originally released in 2011, and the first film, directed by Mitja Okorn, topped annual box-office figures with 2.5 million admissions. The sequel, released in 2016 and directed by Maciej Dejczer, was also the most popular film of the year in Poland with nearly 3 million admissions.
